Brian Jorg is a nature photographer based in Cincinnati, Ohio, specializing in outdoor photography. Currently, he is the Manager of Horticulture for the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Among his duties, and passions, are working with rare and endangered plant species, where his goal is conservation, education, and promotion of native flora.
Each year Brian travels more than 20,000 miles to such locations as Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Alaska, East Africa, and the Yucatan. Brian explores the natural world to expand his personal experience and knowledge, and have his images bring people closer to the natural world.
His photographs have been published in Outdoor Life, Disney Family Fun Magazine, Audubon Field Guide, Outdoor Life, calendars, and greeting cards, as well as many books and magazines. Several zoos and museums use Brian’s photographs for their educational displays. Brian also appears regularly on radio and TV, promoting horticulture topics whenever he can. He writes about the natural world in various print media.
Brian leads photography and nature tours on various subjects and topics including native wildflowers. Over the past 20 years, Brian has conducted over 150 seminars and workshops and has spoken extensively on general horticulture topics, gardening with native plants, and outdoor photography. Brian has also led a wildlife safari to Kenya, East Africa.
In his free time, Brian shares his passions exploring and photographing the natural world with his wife, Monika and their three daughters.
