Description
"Breast or Bust!" is a home-based, family run business. As a family, we believe that raising our children is our most important obligation. Being a stay-at-home mother, with a single income to support our family, requires that we use a little "creativity" in getting the ends to meet. "Breast or Bust!" is the result of just this type of creativity applied to the situations and resources we found. Primary among these were:
"Breast or Bust!" came to us late one evening while discussing what gifts to send friends upon the birth of their first son. The fact that my husband is a screen printer by trade, naturally made us think of creating custom t-shirts for the children. What to print on the shirts? That was the hard part. Being the Lactivist that I am, and one who proudly displays my strong convictions for breastfeeding, Attachment Parenting, and natural (preferably at home) birth, my first idea seemed only natural - "No Fomula". The "No Formula" and "No Pacifier" tees, were the first of many a brainstorms we tossed back and forth.
As the list of ideas grew, we realized that creating and selling our own line of t-shirt designs seemed like the perfect plan for us. We could start a family business that could be run from our home, and most importantly, spread the message of breastfeeding, and attachment parenting lifestyles by raising the visibility, and thereby exposing more people to what we believe in. Perfect! So here we go...
