- Maybe it was the fact that I was in Florida, lounging by the pool for a week without a care in the world. Maybe it was the fact that, out of nowhere, my mom and stepdad began encouraging me to apply to the best schools I could get into. Maybe it was the fact that my gracious parents offered to support me full time, for one year, at any school I decided to attend (many thanks to Mom and Tim). Or maybe it was the fact that I was just being myself -- always striving to be the best that I can be. And that is why I have decided to apply to some of the top graduate schools in the nation.
