The Border Bushwalking Club

The Border Bushwalking Club Incorporated is based in Albury/Wodonga which is situated on the border of NSW and Victoria. The club was formed on July 11th 1978. By August of that year there were 78 membership units. (A unit is either a single or a family membership.) To date the club numbers nearly 300.

BBC which is a member of the Victorian Federation of Bushwalking Clubs, is overseen by a 12 person committee which is elected each May. It caters for people of all ages and walking abilities. Day walks are provided every weekend and some overnight backpack and car camping weekends are also on the program. Cycling, canoeing and cross country ski-ing trips are provided in appropriate seasons.

Albury/Wodonga is an ideal location as both the Bogong High Plains and Kosciusco National Parks are within a few hours drive. So during the warmer months, walks tend to be in the high country but in the cooler months, walks tend to be closer to home.
