Dick has over 37 years experience in health care. He spent over 24 years working in all aspects of Navy Medicine, with the last three being in recruiting. This is where Steve and Dick first came to know each other. In 1991 when he retired from the Navy, Dick took on a new challenge when he took over the Physician Recruitment Program for the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). After his retirement from the Navy Steve joined Dick at the NYSDOH. Together they took a floundering program and turned it into a very successful state program.
In 1998 Steve and Dick felt it was the right time for them to make the move into the private sector so they established Booth-Yellin Physician Recruitment Consultants, a full service, nation wide Physician and Mid-Level Recruiting Company.
Steve has been involved in the world of recruiting since 1975. Steve experienced his first exposure to recruiting while in the Navy. This exposure was so positive that he spent more than 17 years as a Navy Career Recruiter. During his Navy career Steve received numerous awards and citations for excellence in recruiting.
