I have been on the spiritual path for a long time. My main influence has been Vernon Howard, a teacher of great depth and integrity. Life is about inner development first and foremost.
My trials and challenges have been almost unbearable. The loss of our daughter to cancer at age seven and my husband's cancer death in December, 2004, brought lessons I would not have chosen to learn.
He was a model of courage for many people. His cancer involved aggressive treatment and he taught people by his fortitude and positive energy.
