Bob Batchelor is an award-winning business writer and historian. He teaches Public Relations in the School of Mass Communications at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Before joining USF, Bob worked for nearly a decade in corporate America. At Bank of America in San Francisco, he was a vice president of Corporate Communications and Marketing, specializing in executive, internal, and Web communications.
One of Bob’s career highlights while at UpStart Communications (then a high tech division of Fleishman-Hillard ) was serving as the senior writer and strategist on a team that won the 2001 PRSA Silver Anvil for B2B Marketing. In the past, Bob worked as a writer and strategist at Arter & Hadden, a Cleveland-based national law firm; Ernst & Young; and The History Factory , a historical consulting firm in Washington, D.C. He has written, built, and designed Web sites; ghost-written op-ed and other articles; written speeches; run multi-million dollar projects; and written hundreds (if not thousands) of press releases.
