Don Fay with his eldest son, Ed, started FAYS MARINA in joint partnership in 1973, incorporating in 1984 under Don, Rosie and Ed Fay. Five Family members joined the organization. Don & Ed began working 7 days a week selling, docking, repairing and storing boats, first as an Evinrude Dealership in 1974 and later as Mercury in 1987. Exponential growth began when FAYS became a Bayliner Boat Dealer in 1983 selling America's most popular boat right up to the present with Rosie as Sales Manager in 1984. In 2002 FAYS transferred from Top-10 award-winning Spectrum-Fisher boat dealer to became an Elite Tracker Boat Center, again doubling its unit sales. Don and Ed were avid father-son boaters who stepped out 35 years ago to purchase failed D&D Boat Mart with its small lakeside location and develop it into a 13 acre, 90 wet slip marina with over 400 boat indoor storage and several hundred unit boat sales operation with 35,000 Sq ft indoor display area.
