The Blue & Gold Story
The Blue & Gold Sausage Co. concept began in the early 1960's. As an agricultural education teacher, Don Ramsey, founder, was constantly faced with the responsibility of raising money for his FFA chapter to fund on-going projects. To meet these financial needs Mr. Ramsey began processing pigs raised by his FFA members and making breakfast sausage for the students to sell.
As the popularity of a sausage fundraiser grew, so did the number of groups wanting to participate. Little did Mr. Ramsey know that this unique project would grow into a successful corporation providing unexcelled fundraising opportunities for other FFA chapters, bands, youth groups and non-profit organizations in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
Family owned and operated in Jones, Oklahoma since 1969, Blue & Gold Sausage Co. helps more than 800 groups raise money for trips, community projects, equipment and anything else you can imagine! The Blue and Gold recipe for fundraising success is simple: Provide our patrons with products of unsurpassed quality and value. It is our desire that people buy our products not only because they are helping raise money for a worthy cause, but they also want Blue & Gold Sausage, Bacon and Chicken Tenderloin Fritters in their refrigerators.
