- Blake's Your Party Store & Weddings Galore was started in September of 1972 by Jim and Ann Blake. The original store was in Glendora in a 1500 square foot former 7-11 store and had a muffin tin as the main cash register. Ann was the only employee at first and as business grew part-time employees were hired for stocking and helping customers. On weekends Jim and their two children Randy and Jessica worked at the store. To this day Randy runs the Rancho Cucamonga Store and Jessica's husband Jim runs the Covina store. So we are truly a family business.
