Description
Brighton Lesbian and Gay Sports Society (BLAGSS) was founded in 1997 to address the sporting and social needs of the gay and lesbian community of Brighton and Hove.
With over 300 members, BLAGSS are the area’s largest organisation dedicated to providing its members with opportunities to participate in year-round, organised sport activities, with other like-minded individuals, within a friendly and supportive structure. We also offer a social element, both within individual sport groups and across the entire membership.
BLAGSS operate as an umbrella group for various sub-groups who co-ordinate activities for specific sports. We encourage our members to network with each other to launch new sports and over the past several months members have started new groups, including: running, rollerblading, 10 Pin Bowling and women’s walking. In addition to the new groups, BLAGSS offer badminton, cycling, squash, swimming, tennis and walking, all with regularly scheduled activities.
