We first opened in 1997 as Restaurant Papasito’s when Peter and Yvonne Demetz served pizza slices to go. In 1999 Chef Winfried Küffner and his wife Andrea joined Peter and Yvonne and it soon became an "Insider Tip", known for high quality food.
Apart from his love for cooking Peter is skilled when it comes to computers. He not only manages the entire computer maintenance of the Black Forest Restaurant, the marketing and this website, but he also runs his own computer-business (see www.darkedgepc.com). His wife Yvonne is the ministering spirit in this enterprise. She is everywhere and, in addition, gives Chef Winfried a much needed hand. Her salad dressings are described as outstanding. Peter and Yvonne have one little daughter, Cheyenne.
Chef Winfried Küffner enjoyed an extensive training in a variety of Europe's most renown restaurant's such as the Atelier Restaurant of the famous Dom Hotel in Cologne, the Press Club in Bonn and the Restaurant Belvedere in Grindelwald, Switzerland. His career kept him for many years in Switzerland, where he finally met his wife Andrea. Andrea was trained in hotel administration and service in one of the most exclusive Relais y Chateau Hotels in Europe, the Hotel Bühlerhöhe, in Baden-Baden. After refining her training in Germany and Switzerland, she extended her profession to Certified Management Accountant. Winfried and Andrea adopted twin girls, Judith and Susana.
