- "Birth to Five, A Place to Connect" was developed by Child Care Resources as part of a collaborative Early Learning Opportunities Act grant. The website is one of several strategies that is part of the grant entitled, "Strengthening Early Learning in King County Communities." The project's goal is to increase access to high-quality care for all children in King County and provide information about early learning to parents and caregivers. Project Lift-Off, a countywide initiative, leads this effort of more than 30 King County and Seattle organizations and governmental agencies. Sponsored by the Foundation for Early Learning, the grant project is funded by a $945,462 grant from the Child Care Bureau of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, along with more than $150,000 in local support. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Administration on Children, Youth and Families, and the Child Care Bureau do not sponsor, endorse, or approve of any private or commercial products or services offered by organizations appearing in this website.
