Description
Erickson Birdhouses are "hanging around" everywhere. Throughout the United States and as far away as Canada, Greece and Japan. Our collector birdhouses are especially popular with birders, gardeners or anyone who enjoys the outdoors and nature. And while each house is constructed to withstand outdoor elements, upwards of 30 percent are collected and displayed indoors in various settings.
Birdhouses are really "in" more backyards than ever and Erickson Birdhouses capture this trend with individually handcrafted, sturdy and easy-care birdhouses made from old and new woods. Each birdhouse is assembled with copper and brass fittings and clad with verdigris copper or rusted tin roof. Polished copper is available on request. Side walls open on each birdhouse for easy seasonal cleanings. All birdhouses feature a 1 1/4" opening... the ideal size to accommodate a variety of small nesting birds anywhere. Each Erickson birdhouse is an original. No two are exactly alike and production is limited. A hanger is included so all houses arrive ready to hang and enjoy!
One of our white barn wood birdhouses with verdigris copper roof missed "the last flight out" and weathered ferocious hurricane Georges which pounded Key West, Florida in September, 1998. None the worse for wear from driving wind and drenching rain, the birdhouse remained hanging among the beautifully lush garden setting at the historic Marquesa Hotel on Fleming Street.
