For ten years, bringing people and art together is an everyday business for the Birchwood Art Gallery. At its heart are two owners who have garnered the gallery's excellent reputation for customer service. From framing, to choosing the perfect piece of art, to organizing special events, clients regularly put their trust in the expertise of Lyn Chercoe and Carole Solmundson, who just happen to be sisters, to fulfil their art needs.
An executive some 2000 miles away was in need of a piece of art for a special presentation to be made in two days. Through the internet, the Birchwood Art Gallery was discovered. The party was somewhat nervous about the timeline and having a piece of art framed sight unseen. Needless to say there was a sigh of relief when it did arrive on time and perfectly framed.
Examples like this are now commonplace. Carole and Lyn both agree that it is important to build client confidence in their ability to make the process of choosing artwork and framing painless. For their clients, whether local or in faraway places across the oceans, like Germany, or anywhere in North America , the gallery offers insured international shipping. Family and their local community are equally as important. Many local artists and charities have benefited from their generosity to demonstrate the "Art of Caring". As Carole will point out, "we are blessed with good health and the support of family, and so many of our customers who will volunteer at various functions that we are asked to organize - it just comes natural to try and give back to the community."
