Description
Biology in Business aims to build a community which bridges academia and business in order to facilitate the transfer of people and ideas between commercial and academic life science. In so doing we hope to increase understanding of how the two can synergise to increase innovation and productivity in an increasingly important part of the UK economy. Our activities include:
Spotlights, Snapshots & MasterClass Seminar Series: in which prominent figures from the local biotech community give an insight into research, technology and business strategies in their specialist area, thus building awareness of business issues and employment opportunities amongst researchers.
Career Opportunities in the Life Sciences (COiLS): an annual life science careers fair which creates a forum in which organizations employing life scientists for bench and non-research positions can meet a large number of talented and motivated job seekers.
