Title
The Biological Anthropology Web
Description
Created in April 1998 as the "Virtual Department of Biological Anthropology," the BioAnth website was established as a forum for information on and discussion of topics related to broadly defined aspects of biological and cultural human variation and adaptation.
Its mission grew out of the concerns of Kevin M. Kelly and his colleagues about the de-emphasis of the four-field approach in Anthropology (i.e., the integration of biological/physical anthropology, social/cultural anthropology, archaeology and linguistics) and the resulting erosion of Anthropology as a bio-cultural science.
BioAnth.org is sponsored by Kevin M. Kelly. The BioAnth web site is accessible via the Internet at www.bioanth.com & www.bioanth.org. BioAnth.org & BioAnth.com are registered domains of Kelly Webworks. The BioAnth web is an integral part of a suite of anthropological domain that includes www.MedAnth.org, www.MedAnth.com, www.HumBio.com, www.MedAnthro.com, www.MedAnthro.org, www.Melanesia.org, www.Prehistory.org and www.Prehistorie.org as well as the anthropologically relevant domains of Celts.org, ForensicCrimeLab.com, CrimeSceneUnit.com, ForensicCrime.com, ForensicCrimeUnit.com, ForensicScienceNews.com & ForensicsNews, plus the numerous domains associated with www.Plagiocephaly.org.
