The Nordic Biofibre net was established 2002 with a grant from the Nordic Industrial Fond to provide promote the use of biofibres in industrial applications. The network has published a newsletter and arranged a number of conferences and workshops over the years and the interim board with has managed to keep the network going on membership fees only the last year. New funding is vital if the network is to survive. A period of grace has been offered by the intervention of BUC, Biokompositutvecklingscenter i Bräcke AB, that will help finance the operation of the network until a permanent board is elected this fall.
News from biofibre.net is a newsletter published by the Nordic Biofibrenet. Our ambition is to become the leading source of biocomposite information in the Nordic countries. To collect and bring forward qualified knowledge and information about materials, methods, machinery and markets to everybody working in the business. We mean that the development of the whole business is closely linked to how fast the interest of biocomposite materials is brought about to manufacturers, legislators and customers.
