Half-Vietnamese. Half-Jewish. All mutt when it comes to interests and professional work. If you browse around, you'll see some of my interests, including writing, biomedical science, software, and internet business models. This site was revised to use the Drupal content management system in late December 2004, and despite my growing fascination with Ruby on Rails, I'm sticking with Drupal (and PHP) for my home page.
On October 2001, I left a position as Senior Scientist at Varian Medical Systems. I'm now scratching an entrepreneurial itch, studying creative writing, and surveying a number of fields. My short story, The Plastic Soul of a Note, recently won grand prize in the 20th annual Writers of the Future contest. You can find the story in the Writers of the Future Volume XX (Anniversary Edition) anthology.
