About Me
Hi, I’m BIGJIM. I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and have lived there most of my life. Besides 7 years in Oxford, MS while in college and 3 years in Jackson, MS for my first post-college job North Biloxi was my home.
After an uneventful upbringing I went Ole Miss in Oxford, MS. I received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1994 and after three years of graduate school I was all but thesis for my Master of Science in Engineering and bolted (sorry, Dr. Price). I don’t regret those three years and not getting the masters degree. I’m not an engineer, don’t enjoy engineer work, and mostly all I did in graduate school was play on computers anyway and that’s what I do for a living now so the time paid off.
Currently, I work for myself as a consultant of sorts. I mostly do Oracle database work but dabble in ASP.NET / C# as needed. My primary focus is environmental compliance and permitting management software.
