Our IGA store is a locally owned, "Hometown Proud" supermarket. That means we're deeply committed to being more than just a great grocery store. It means we strive every day to make a difference in our community.
As a member of Independent Grocer's Alliance, a worldwide network of family oriented retailers, we share in the belief that "a good grocery store isn't a sprawling, impersonal example of cookie cutter commerce, but a community hub owned and operated by the very people who know the area best -- the citizens."
Berlin IGA was built in 1961 by Mr. Fred Prince and operated as Princes IGA Foodliner until 1980. In 1980, the store changed ownership and became The Berlin IGA Foodliner. Since 1999, the store has been completely remodeled with all new equipment and decor. Our 10,000 sq. ft. store has the advantage of having most of the variety of our larger competitors, with a more efficient and friendly shopping experience. We offer carry out service, custom packaged fresh meat items, and offer a variety of specialty items cooked or baked in our deli. We are proud to be a Five Star IGA Store. Berlin IGA was awarded the "Grocer of The Year Award" by the New Hampshire Grocers Association in 2003.
