The Historical Society of Berks County News Bits is an email newsletter. It is sent out on an irregular basis. The newsletter itself is sent out as a multipart email document. Recipients can view the newsletter as either plain text or as an html (web) document, containing images and sometimes audio clips. Most email clients will allow the user to decide which version of the newsletter to display.
Unfortunately, some mail clients have trouble displaying the multipart format. For that reason we provide a web page that will display the web version of the current News Bits. This web page can be viewed at: http://www.berksweb.com/histsoc/news.html. We would suggest you bookmark the page for future reference.
In its default configuration, Hotmail will not display multipart messages. In fact, when you receive a copy of News Bits, it will appear that you have received an empty document. In reality, you have a copy of both versions of News Bits.
