- The Benzie Fishery Coalition is a non-profit Michigan Corporation created in 1987 to promote, enhance, and protect the fishery of the Benzie area as it relates to sport fishing on the Betsie River, Platte River, Lake Michigan, and other public waters and inland lakes. The BFC al so sponsors programs that educate and motivate local youth in subjects involving the fishery, habitat and conservation of local resources.
