About Us Ben Sorkin grew up in Philadelphia and Abington, graduating from Abington High School, and attended LaSalle College. He opened up Ben Sorkin Jewelers in 1981. The idea was simple. Treat the customer like you would like to be treated. Starting with a single booth in an exchange, he expanded three times to open in his current location, 705 Sansom Street, on the historic corner of 7th and Sansom.
