Bennett's has operated as a family horticultural business in the Greater Lafayette Area for over 100 years. The company was founded between 1870 and 1880 by William Bennett and his son shortly after arriving in the Lafayette area from Ohio. Over the last century, the privately owned company has been led by members of the Bennett family and is currently operated by the sixth Bennett's generation: Richard Bennett, Barbara Bennett Ruff and Kathy Bennett Chinn.
