The Internet has made it so much easier for families and others interested in Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome to find the help they are looking for. There are chat rooms and message boards ( BWSN Parents Forum ) for families to connect with other families. The Beckwith-Wiedemann Support Network website has list of many of these links. Because of this, the following changes have been made in the way BWSN functions:
Medical information will no longer be collected or kept by the BWSN. Basic information such as name, address, and other demographic items will be kept. The BWSN picture books are invaluable to the parents that attend the conferences.
