- It boils down to lifetime love in making pots. I enjoy producing pot after pot on the wheel, and then in contrast to the throwing, hand building embelishments to decorate them. Over the years I have made acres of morning glories to attach to the pots. Then it is nice to just make simple functional dinnerware. It is a process: throw, decorate, fire, glaze, and fire again. Then the opportunity to interact with the YOU, the appreciater of a good pot, is a whole different aspect. It is a joy to work with customers on a custom set of dishes that they can treasure for years to come, or just to be able to supply a gift or treasured item for your home. It is a cycle that keeps balance in my work. About the time I finish one step, I am glad to move on to the next.
