Description

About Beaver Creek Telephone Company

After years of bureaucracy, Beaver Creek Telephone Company is officially on its way to provide dial tone service to residents in Silverton and Hobart, Washington. Service is expected to start 2004-2005, pending approval of loans and permits, (the project was originally expected to be completed as early as 2002). BCTC remains committed to doing all it can to provide phone service to these areas at a reasonable rate, so that they too can enjoy the comforts of modern living without the hustle and bustle of living in a city.

Beaver Creek Telephone Company emerged in 1999 when the press was covering the frustrated residents of Silverton and their plight for phone service. International Telcom, LTD entrepreneur, Joel Eisenberg, read a New York Times article explaining the situation and decided to investigate further. It turned out that he might be able to help and thus Beaver Creek Telephone Company was created. It has been over two years since the project began, tied up in legalities, permits and funding to arrive to this point where ITL can begin to start construction.
