Description

BBV is a video and audio production company, owned and managed by Bill Baggs since 1991. BBV stands for "Bill and Ben Video", Ben being the nickname of Bill's wife, Helen.

Bill Baggs was the organiser of the Hampshire division of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society. One of the projects he undertook in this role was a non-profit Doctor Who audio adventure, recorded on an old reel-to-reel tape machine. Written by Bill himself, it was called Planet of Doom. Out of the success of this first venture came the Audio Visuals, what was to become a series of twenty-eight dramas produced at first by Baggs and later by DWM editor Gary Russell.

The first Audio Visuals adventure in 1984 was called the Space Wail, and was written by Gary Russell under the name Warren Martyn. It featured fan / actor Stephen Payne as the Doctor. This was followed by a second adventure, The Time-Ravagers, in which Nicholas Briggs took over as the Doctor (in an adventure he also wrote and directed). Nicholas continued to play the part until the conclusion of the series in 1991.
