We cover the Tri-State area of Northern Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, for the rescue and rehoming of our hounds. If you are outside of that area - please use the Contact Us form to request the name of a rescue in your area. We'll be glad to refer you to one that is near you.
Basset Buddies Rescue has been instrumental in the rescue and re-homing of more than 800 Basset Hounds throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Northern Illinois. BBR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All donations are used expressly for the welfare of the dogs and are tax deductible.
This has been a very busy and hectic time for our Board of Directors, especially the February meeting! The BBR Board voted to select a new President, added three new Directors, plus two additional Director positions to provide for Minnesota representation. The Board of Directors now has nine members: four of which are officers and the other five are Directors. BBR’s new President is Michelle Stumbris. As most of you know, Michelle has been with the rescue for almost five years and is the current Adoption Coordinator.
