Description
Mike Ritner, head of Bay Rigging, has been professionally involved in the maritime industry since 1982. Originally from the Annapolis sailing community, Mike has worked with Chesapeake Rigging Ltd., Annapolis Marine Electronics, Bay Rigging of Annapolis, Annapolis Landing Marina, and The US Navy.
His experience includes services involving all aspects of running and standing rigging, composite cored decks, hull structures, electronics installation, and all brands of manual, electric and hydraulic main and headsail furling systems. Mike has been responsible for the full commissioning of yachts up to 65' including masts, rigging, electronics and deck hardware.
Mike also has racing experience and has crewed in the SORC racing circuit and on MORC yachts in the Chesapeake and Key West. He has completed eight round trips on his Laguna 30 sloop of the ICW and near coastal, from New England to Southwest FL, including Lake Okeechobee, FL Keys, Bahamas, and Bermuda. Most recently, he completed his last delivery 1500 miles offshore from Annapolis, MD to Madeira Beach, FL in his 1969 Ericson 41 that he restored from keel to masthead.
