- Why BayLight? In our 30 years of being together there is one view that regularly captivates our imagination and takes our breath away; standing on the edge of water looking across to land far away. This is a sight that has regularly greeted us from our home on the shore of Presqu’ile Bay. It is a vista that regularly mesmerizes both of us, especially at night. Lighthouse beacons flashing, house lights twinkling, light shining off the water’s surface; all speak to us about the darkness and light that is the reality of human life and the relationship we have with Christ. We couldn’t think of a better name for what we are trying to do; bring darkness and light to bear, all in the hope of discovering our place in Christ’s Dominion. Angela has recently retired from her position as Executive Director for a local Alzheimer Society which completed her career in management that started 35 years ago in the Nova Scotia Department of Finance. Brad is an Ordained Minister in the United Church of Canada (Maritime Conference ’86) and is still involved in pastoral ministry, which he loves.
