Batgear Beyond was started in 1996. It started off as a very small site only visited by friends and word of mouth. Eventually, after the listings reached hundreds of quality clothing sites, and a more eye-pleasing redesign was applied, the site became very popular, reaching over 2000 hits a day. The site was taken down by me in 2001 because I didn't have the time to upkeep it. Over a year has gone by since this site has been missing from the web, and over that time I've received many e-mails asking where the site was, many friends asking me to bring the site back, and even dropped in on a few conversations about it from people who didn't even know I was the webmaster. So, I've decided to bring the site back.
Batgear Beyond sets itself apart from similar websites, obviously, first of all, from being the very first of its kind. There have been sites like Dark Site of the Net (great site) That has been around much longer, but we take your link resource to a whole new level, by specializing in making you look awesome. We make it easy to find that exact site your looking for by having everything broken up into sections. We also plan to have one of the largest databases of quality online sources for gothic & cyber clothing on the web, but only the best sites out there. We post quality sites, ones that meet our standards. You will not have to surf through sites with items or products that are poorly made or typical mall-merch.
Because this site is really quite a bit of work and upkeeping, always checking the links, adding new ones, etc. I have made the decision to allow selected stores and advertisers to put their banner ads up on the page, as well as pay for a featured and bold-faced link. However, I will never have any annoying ads like popups or flash inserts. So, hopefully, you, the visitors, will benefit from this instead of being annoyed by it.
