- February 20th, 2009, marks the beginning of the 39th annual Bassmaster Classic, which will be held on the Red River out of Shreveport, Louisiana. Fifty one of the world's best bass anglers will compete in bass fishing's most prestigious event. This incredible spectacle, which is dubbed the Superbowl of Bass Fishing by many, officially marks the beginning of the 2009 bass fishing season. Bassfury would like to wish all the 2009 Bassmaster anglers, as well as, all the 2009 Bassfury Pro Team members the best of luck; as we look forward to a fantastic 2009 Bass Fishing Season.
