Description
As citizens of Kenosha County who support safe, quality recreational opportunities for children, we intend to work with the city of Kenosha to build a quality skate park. With the motivation to provide a safe environment for the skaters of Kenosha to skate. We are willing to seek private monies to fund the building of the skate park. The city of Kenosha will work with us to negotiate a space for the park, and will maintain the park once it has been built, similar to how they are currently maintaining the ball fields, playgrounds and tennis courts.

As we get closer to the realization of a quality skate park in Kenosha, news and information will continue to be updated on this site. We'll also be tracking and posting information on relevant skateboard news from around the globe.
The committee is Chaired by Ralph Ruffolo, owner of Southport-Rigging, long-time supporter of many board-sports including Skateboarding. As fundraising coordinator, Patrick Hintz has dealt not only with all facets of BASIKS fundraising but also event co-ordination, public awareness raising, and more. Treasurer duties are performed by Cindy Barber, and meeting minutes are recorded by Joan Quetes.
