- Dr. Barron’s basic science training began at Northeastern University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in Biology and was inducted into the Beta Chapter of the Phi Sigma Biological Honor Society. He received his clinical training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and was awarded a Doctoral Degree in Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and the Robert Andrews Honor Society for excellence in biomedical research. Dr. Barron received his Post-Doctoral Degree in Orthodontics, and Masters of Science Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. In addition to extensive training in clinical orthodontics, his background in cellular biology led to his Masters Thesis research investigating the way in which abnormal proteins are recognized and broken down inside of bone ligament cells. Dr. Barron has received board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. He is also a Fellow in the distinguished Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honorary dental organization recognizing outstanding dentists and their achievements.
