Barrel House Distilling Company is located in the old Pepper Bourbon Distillery in Downtown Lexington that had been the site of active distilling of spirits since the early 1800's until the late 1950's. The company currently is producing and marketing Pure Blue Vodka, which is available throughout Kentucky, and is producing and aging rum and Bourbon which are not yet on the market. The company has successfully resurrected the distilling heritage of Lexington, and is helping to revitalize Downtown Lexington's "Distillery District".
