Dog Fence and Dog Fencing for Escaping Dogs

An escaping dog can be a scare! The last thing you want is your dog being injured or causing injury. And often, when you repair where your dog is getting out, your dog is escaping out through a new area. A dog fence is a very reliable and cost effective solution. There are numerous dog fencing models available, so when it comes to selecting the right dog fence for your escaping dog, consider the following factors:

  • The breed, age and size of your dog
  • The property and area you want to keep your dog safely in
  • Whether you will need features like a waterproof and/or rechargeable collar, adjustable correction settings, lightening surge protector or battery back-up.

Another alternative is to consider a dog enclosure. This is also known as a dog pen, a pet pen, a dog cage or a kennel run. These are a good solid option to keep dogs safe and contained.

Dog training for happy pets and owners

Bark Control Australia started in 2001. Neil Smith bought the business in July 2009. Smith was a former police dog handler and trainer for 17 years. He trained dogs privately since 2006.

Smith's experience gives him an edge against competitors.

"Most competitors might be as strong in technical knowledge of the products, but for the customer, I believe it is more important to know how to use the product to get the result -- train the dog -- than how many amps the device gives out," Smith said. "We are genuinely interested in solving dog behaviour issues, not just selling a product."

The result is significant revenue growth in the second half of 2009. Smith added three staffers to help with demand. The company also moved to a larger space to house increased inventory.

New owner Neil Smith admittedly has changed the company's vision on a few occasions. The first step was revamping the website. Next Bark Control Australia enhanced customer information through product reviews and expanded its product offerings. Smith is considering overseas markets, particularly New Zealand and Southeast Asia, for expansion.

One thing Bark Control Australia has not lost sight of is its mission of improving the lives of dogs, cats and their owners.
