In prehistoric times Dinosaurs roamed this part of Texas. There are some good quality dinosaur tracks in the limestone just across the road and down the creek. We thought we found dinosaur bones in the creek just below blind 6. The bones were so convincing a geologist named Dr. Karl Baughl came out to examine them. To our disappointment it was just ooze that was created as the limestone cooled thousands of years ago. That's how that part of the creek is known as Dinosaur Gulch.
