Charles Bibas , founder and CEO of Advanced Barcode Technology, was educated at the Technion in Haifa, Israel, which awarded him a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE). On coming to the United States, Mr. Bibas joined Barcode Industries, where he developed both hardware and software for barcode readers, including the first interface for Federal Express's barcode scanner application. Mr. Bibas was subsequently recruited by PerkinElmer Instruments' Metco Division (now a division of Sulzer), where he was credited with building patented manufacturing process technologies for General Motors, Toyota, Lexus, Pratt and Whitney, Garrett, and other notables in the automotive and aircraft industries.
