Baltimore Region Transit Plan–Home
Description
Today, the backbone of the Baltimore region's transit system is an extensive network of local bus services combined with Metro subway, Light Rail and MARC train service. What should transit in our region look like in the next five, ten or 15 years? The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is studying two priority corridors from the Baltimore Region Transit Plan: the Red Line and Green Line. Study efforts consist of detailed planning to determine the modes, alignments and station locations, plus an analysis of both the costs and benefits. These studies will help to plan our transit network of the future.
This site is designed to provide you with information about the MTA’s study efforts and to encourage your participation as the studies move forward. Feel free to contact us if you have questions or comments.
