Ram Comes from ahumble background. He was born and raised just outside Katmandu valley, a small village of Balthali where his family has been farmers for generation. Only since mid 1980's he started his career in 'tourism' as a ordinary 'hepler' at one of the restaurant and littler later as a hawkers selling small trinkets and souvenirs to travelers and tourist alike.

Then one of the German representative of one of the Travel companies, Sigi Rothlinghofer found him and liked his personality and encouraged him into becoming a 'Tourist guide' which Ram Pursued for almost 16 years with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Since last 4 years, Ram has built a small village resort in his village Balthali, Where he has given employments and chances to work within tourism for the locals. He has a son and a daughter and a wife who helps him with the work and upkeep of the resort Often. Very easy to reach from Kathmandu, about 2 hrs.
