Bajamar Consulting Services Limited was born in the heart of its President and majority shareholder, Mr. Leslie N. Moss, a native Bahamian with extensive academic, professional and international experience. Leslie grew increasingly frustrated and disillusioned with the hypocrisy of the large international banks operating in The Bahamas and the unfair treatment the sovereign nation of The Bahamas has received of late from the international community regarding its status as a low-tax jurisdiction. Bajamar was incorporated on 6th October, 2003, under the Companies Act (1992) of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The company subsequently applied for and was granted a business license to provide business and management consultancy in The Bahamas pursuant to the Business License Act, 1980.
Bajamar is a service-oriented company. The principles on which the company was founded and operates are twofold. First, we believe that bigger is not better for clients. One need only point to recent scandals involving giants like Enron, Tyco, MCI WorldCom, Parmalat or Martha Stewart to see examples why big is bad for clients. Having worked in the bowels of many of these juggernauts, we can further attest that what is good for the client inevitably conflicts with what the organization is looking to achieve for itself.
The second principle on which Bajamar was founded is that of bringing old school standards back to business. Old school standards are what are sorely lacking in today's business environment. No longer is a man's word his bond, clients are mere numbers to be churned and bartered and service is fast becoming a dying art. Ethics, transparency and accountability round off the characteristics of "Old School Standards" on which Bajamar was founded.
