Granite Belt Wine Region
Queensland's oldest wine region extends for 50km north of the NSW border and is part of the magnificent granite landscapes of the Great Dividing Range which encompass the National Parks of Girraween, Sundown, and Bald Rock.
With altitudes between 700-1000 metres above sea level, the cool climate and decomposed granite soils ensure the region produces some of Australia's best new wines.
Back Pocket History — Past & Present
Back Pocket has a long horticultural history. Subdivided in 1927, the property has grown apples, pears, plums, peaches, table grapes, and wine grapes.
