- AXE Creatives™ was founded in 1988 by Anthony & Eric during a lecture given at Stony Brook University. They took the 1st letters of their names and placed an “x” between them so as to signify “Anthony by Eric.” As for the word “Creatives”—that actually isn’t a word, but seemed to fit so they went with it. Eric double-majored at Stony Brook and graduated with a BS in Applied Math and a BA in Economics while Anthony emerged with a BA in Economics and an MS in Industrial Management.
