About Avb.ca
The company originally started as a hardware store serving the Dartmouth area. After acquiring the machines and tooling from a Venetian Blind Manufacturer in Cape Breton, they started making their own 2" Metal Venetian Blinds. In 1964 the company was officially incorporated as Atlantic Venetian Blinds and Draperies Ltd. In the spring of 1975, the Smith family bought AVB from the previous owner, Mr. MacFadden.
