Realizing how intensely consumers disliked the traditional used car buying experience inspired Ben Freeland to develop auto2auto.com, America's only online used car dealership. Freeland, its CEO and founder, said the concept came from his experience in online vehicle sales. With his nearly 20 years of experience as a traditional auto dealer, he knew the market needed something completely different.

auto2auto.com falls under the umbrella of Freeland's parent online company Mobile Internet Technologies. In 1999 the company began their Internet service by launching StraightAway, which specializes in by owner cars sales and auto loan processing. Freeland added MITLeads.com, a special finance lead generation service, in 2004 .

My experience with Auto2Auto was absolutely the Best!!
I am a manager at a cafe and when my car broke down..., I decided it would cost too much to get it repaired.., it was an old car and was not worth the cost. I desperately called around to try to buy another automobile from local dealerships.., They all wanted me to come in, sit down, have a cup of coffee and talk about what I wanted, when I wanted it and, of course, how much money I had for a down-payment.
I just did not have the time to go through a lot of the BS that car salesmen put you through..,
I was contacted by Bruce Fields, from Auto2Auto. He proceeded to tell me that I can go on-line, pick out my car and they would deliver it to me with everything paid... All I had to do was sign.., of course, I was skeptical.., but I am also pretty comfortable with making purchases on the internet..,I just never thought of buying a car over the internet.., I thought, "What a concept!" I did not have to do too much at all to get my new car.. Good thing because I had been renti.
