Description
This product was originally invented by James Crowe and specifically designed to be an improvement on real slate roofing. Our leading edge technology continues with our latest line, Authentic Roof 2000FR. Authentic Products are without a doubt the best roofing material in the world today. Installed almost as easily as asphalt shingles by any good roofer and sold through distribution, by reputable building and roofing supply companies. This was done so that the consumer could buy the material from a distributor at the best price and get competitive prices from different contractors on their job. It is the first upgrade roofing material that offers the true aesthetic value and durability of real slate without the extreme weight and with affordable installation costs.
Old-fashioned layering of material, combined with modern technology using materials from recycling, which have an extremely long life, enabled us to produce our “world first” product. Authentic Roof slates are made with Baljen TPO another world first, which is an alloy made of Polyethylene, Polypropylene and EPDM rubber in a thermal reactor where the materials are homogenously blended on a molecular level without the use of binding agents or plasticizers, which are harmful to the environment. In other words our product is molecularly DNA like stranded, it’s not just a bunch of “stuff” melted together and colored up! This causes a new material to be formed, which is called Thermal Poly Olefins (TPO). This new DNA like material cannot be separated once blended but it's properties can be changed by adding other materials and additives to it to increase its ultra violet stability, flex modulus of the material for it’s impact resistance and flame retardancy (Other alloys include; Brass, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel).
A person’s home is their castle and the roof is what protects it. Now, once again all those beautiful homes, schools and churches can have that old world charm of Authentic looking slate with even more durability at an affordable price and installed by the roofing company of the customer’s own choice, based on the recommendation of a local building/roofing supplier, an architect, or roofing consultant and purchased from that local supplier. Designer slates, Full Face, Mitred Edge and Beaver Tail are available in Bavarian Black, Virginia Dark, Galveston Light Grey, Paris Plum and Galway Green. Standard designed flashing materials are to be used, with the recommendation that a heavier gauge be used (Eg. #26 gauge painted galvanized, zinc, or if possible copper).
