If the name of the company strikes you as odd, you understand the mission of Atomic Fly Studios. Founders Mitchell Davidson Bentley and Catherine A. McCormick share a vision - to help you think "outside the box" of conventional 21st-century norms. Thinking differently gives an edge to any endeavor and, hopefully, encourages the questioning of stereotypes and biases that can get in the way of co-creation.
They do this by giving you reason to pause . . . and wonder at the large flock of plastic pink flamingos in their yard-or the number of bumper stickers on their van-or the way they dress. It's their non-linear creative thought that gives your project an edge.
They're not just eccentrics . . . they're overeducated eccentrics. McCormick earned her M.A. in 2004 with a focus on 20th century Art History and now teaches at York College of Pennsylvania and Harrisburg Area Community College of York. Bentley, combining astronomical art with psychology and history, is scheduled to receive his M.A. in May of 2006.
