Title

AtHomeNet - Interactive websites for homeowner associations, condo associations and other residential communities as well as community management companies.

Description

AtHomeNet, Inc., an Atlanta-based company, strives to facilitate the operations of community associations by creating websites and offering other online services. Started in 1998 by Jeffrey and Susan Sanders, AtHomeNet employs 50 individuals who work with community associations serving more than 2 million homes in all 50 U.S. states and five other countries. AtHomeNet’s purpose is to maintain better communication between neighbors and the community association leaders.

AtHomeNet provides a wide range of services for managing homeowners’ and other associations. Foremost among these is website building. The AtHomeNet staff can create unique, attractive, and useful sites within a week. AtHomeNet websites allow residents to learn of upcoming events, read board minutes online, and reserve spaces at clubhouses and other facilities. Residents can conveniently pay fees, order new keys, and sign up for clubs through these websites, as well. AtHomeNet scales its services for clients, able to accommodate those serving only a few homes as easily as those with hundreds. Associations can even use their sites to automate monthly payments, reducing the risk of residents falling behind in fees or dues.

AtHomeNet’s products are designed to be user-friendly. Specially designated community administrators can add, change, or delete items through their browser without special programming knowledge. The websites accept documents and photographs in most major file formats, and the support staff will scan and place images online during site setup. AtHomeNet also offers video tutorials and Web seminars to train customers to use the site with maximum ease and efficiency. Some packages allow communities to establish unique domain names.

AtHomeNet provides telephone and e-mail assistance Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST, and staff members monitor support and server issues 7 days a week. The company has also partnered with Edison State College in Florida to create an online curriculum for community association management. In order to serve more associations, AtHomeNet recently acquired MyCommunityWebsite.com of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, another community website provider.

AtHomeNet Company Profile

AtHomeNet Inc. is a firm that began as a small regional service operating out of a family home, and now serves over a million homes spread across 48 states. The company is technology based, dealing primarily with building and selling websites for communities and property management companies.

AtHomeNet was founded by the husband and wife team of Jeff and Susan Sanders. The AtHomeNet concept was founded in March of 1998. Living in a homeowners association themselves, Jeff and Susan quickly saw the need for a better method of communication between neighbors, the board and even the community management company. The internet was just becoming popular with the general public and its uses as a communication tool were obvious, so an internet based community web site application seemed the perfect solution.

Jeff Sanders, President of AtHomeNet, previously worked as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst in the Financial Services industry. He started in 1984 developing in C++ and eventually transitioned to Internet Development using Microsoft ASP.

Susan Sanders, Vice President, has a background in business management. Susan worked for 10 years in the Institutional department of a Financial Services company. Her roles included managing staff, assisting international branch offices, writing marketing material and analyzing division financial data.
